Ahead of the 2025 Formula 1 season, our internal agency at Marriott International, Riott Haus, was tasked with developing a creative concept to announce our renewed partnership with the Mercedes-AMG Petronas team. Always aspiring to do more than simply answer a brief, we leveraged this access to their lead driver, George Russell, to simultaneously create assets for an OOH campaign that are still being used globally today.
The logistics of this shoot provided us with only 45 minutes with George just outside of his home town of Monaco. To solve for this we engaged a precision driver to handle all driving scenes in matching wardrobe, allowing George to focus on the photography aspect while also delivering a few lines for our hero video asset. This however didn’t keep George from driving the 300 SEL off set when the shoot was wrapped, speeding to the bottom of the hill where an anxious Mercedes mechanic was waiting to collect the vintage model and take it ship to Germany.
